Venlo | € 3,600 – € 4,300 gross per month
Where will you work?
At an aluminum company in Venlo that presses profiles for the aerospace, medical, automotive, and mechanical engineering industries. Parts that simply have to be made, because they end up in places where no one can repair anything afterwards.
Everything takes place in one location: pressing, machining, surface treatment and assembly.
You’ll be working on the surface treatment. That’s a department of about sixty people, divided between the wet treatment, the customer side, and the preparation. You’ll be working on the preparation and reporting to the team leader. In the paint team, there are five of you.
What you will do
You carry out the painting work yourself, from preparation to finishing. You don't get an hourly wage — you get the assignment and the space to do it well.
- You prepare the work: ground, setup, equipment
- You mix the components in the correct proportions. That’s where the difference lies between a low that does the job and a batch that you can do over again.
- You spray the profiles and work by hand where it becomes difficult: corners, edges, strange shapes
- You share your own work and discuss it with the engineer
- You check your equipment, your tools and your workplace beforehand
- After what you have done: thickness, bonding, color, finish
- You know when the process starts to deviate and you call out before an entire batch is rejected
- If you see that something could be done smarter, you say so. Here, you are expected to contribute, not to wait around.
What do I ask of you
This is what you need
- You have it painted or sprayed industrially. If you did it at a different angle, I would be interested to hear about it.
- A sharp eye. You see a runner, a crater, or a thin layer before someone else runs past
- You can work independently. You divide your day yourself and stop by occasionally if something doesn't feel right.
- You read and speak Dutch or German, enough for work instructions and discussions on the floor
- You work 3 shifts: early, late and night
The requirement is for an MBO level of work and knowledge. It’s about how you work and how you approach a problem, not about which piece of paper is lying in the drawer.
This is a nice addition
- Experience with aluminum. That welds differently than steel
- You can measure the layer thickness yourself and perform a checkerboard test
- You have previously worked in an organization where everything you do needs to be recorded.
If you come from the auto repair or conservation industry and would like to switch to the industrial sector, feel free to give us a call. Anyone who can apply a tight layer will learn the process here naturally.
What you get
The first period, via 100% Vakwerk
- € 3,600 – € 4,300 gross per month, including the 23.5% team surcharge. The exact amount you will receive depends on what you bring with you.
- You earn the same as the people who are already employed there: wages, allowances, periodic payments and ADV according to the CAO Metalektro
- 27 holiday days
- € 0.23 per kilometer travel allowance
- You build your pension through StiPP
After nine to twelve months, you will start working for the client themselves. If you have a lot of experience, then the contract can be discussed immediately. From that moment onwards:
- Directly under the CAO Metalektro, retired through PME
- 13 ADV days per year, some of which have already been booked for you
- Room to grow within the department
And furthermore: a fixed workplace inside. No off-site work, no changing locations, no hauling material to customers. At the end of your shift, you see what you have on hand. That’s not a minor detail in this job.
Practical
- Location: Venlo — well-placed to make the most of Blerick, Tegelen, Horst, Venray and the border region
- Roster: 3-shift operation
- Start: in consultation, preferably quickly
How it will proceed
First you talk to me. Then, at the client’s request, there is an introductory meeting, a follow-up meeting, and a morning of getting to know each other, and then the final meeting.
That first morning of onboarding is the most important part. You’re in the space, you see the work, and you talk to the people you’re going to work with. After that, you’ll know if this fits you, and they’ll know too.
