Productiemedewerker Metaal (Conservering)

Do you want to learn a real trade and earn a top salary immediately? Are you not afraid to get your hands dirty and are you looking for long-term work? For a trailer builder in the Wijchen region, we are looking for 100% Vakwerk A Production worker who wants to be trained in metal conservation.

No experience? No problem. If you are motivated, we will teach you the rest.

What does it get you?

You will get to work doing exceptional work, and in return you will receive compensation that you will get almost nowhere else as a production worker:

• A fat salary: You earn about € 4.075,- bruto per maand (based on 40 hours).
• Travel allowance: €0.23 per km (from 10 km one way, max. 40 km).
• Training: You will be trained internally as a specialist in metal conservation (schooperen).
• Work atmosphere: A down-to-earth family business where colleagues call each other by first name.
• Certainty: Good conditions according to the Collective Labour Agreement for Metal & Engineering.

What will you do?

You will be working in the conservation department. This is where we ensure that the new trailers do not rust. You do this by spraying a layer of liquid zinc/aluminium onto the steel (this is called scooping).

• Preparing: You make sure trailer chassis are ready for handling.
• Protect: Using a special spray gun, you manually apply the protective coating.
• Learning: In the beginning, you will walk alongside an experienced colleague who will teach you the ropes.
• Quality: You learn to see exactly when the layer is thick enough and the work has been done well.

 

You work in a 2-shift operation. This ensures a steady rhythm as well as that nice allowance of 16%:

• Early service: 06:00 to 14:45.
• Late service: 14:45 to 23:30.

Who are you?

For this position, we do not look at diplomas, but your attitude.

• You are physically fit and like to roll up your sleeves. (You will work in a protective suit and mask, you should not mind).
• You have VMBO working and thinking level.
• You are reliable: a deal is a deal.
• You like working with large equipment and technology.
• You speak Dutch, English or German.

Where will you be working?

You will go through 100% Vakwerk to work for a large trailer manufacturer in Wijchen. They make trailers for heavy transport that you see driving all over Europe.

It is a company where people work hard, but where the atmosphere is good. Because they make everything themselves, you see exactly what happens to your work: a shiny, rock-solid trailer eventually drives out of the gate that you helped make.
