Construction carpenter / Welder

As a construction mechanic/welder in Venlo, you build machines that wash, peel, and cut vegetables. You assemble stainless steel (SS) parts and assemble them according to the drawing. You work 40 hours a week. You can also apply if you want to learn the trade through a BBL program.

Where will you work?

You work at a family business in Venlo that began more than a hundred years ago with the construction of sorting machines. Nowadays, more than 160 colleagues manufacture machines and complete processing lines for customers all over the world. In the workshop, you use digital drawings and modern tools.

What you will do

You receive a digital drawing and build a stainless steel structure based on it. You build smaller structures independently. For larger structures, you work together with colleagues.

– Assemble and weld parts according to technical drawings
– Performing machining on stainless steel parts
– Check that the welding work and the dimensions match the drawing
– Contribute to thinking about how to make a part better or make the work easier

What do we ask for?

– You have a technical vocational education or an mbo diploma and want to learn the trade through a BBL course.
– You can read technical drawings in 2D and 3D.
– You have an interest in mechanical engineering and work precisely.
– You can work independently and also like to work together with colleagues on a larger machine.
– A TIG welding diploma at level 2 or higher is a nice bonus. If you don't already have it, you can earn it internally.
