Toolmaker / Benchworker
As a toolmaker/bencher, you will work on various tools and punch sets for metalworking. You are responsible for testing, overhauling and assembling tools on the basis of mechanical engineering drawings. You pay close attention to the correct dimensions and adjust the tools where necessary. Each job is unique and must be performed accurately. You continuously test to achieve the desired result and perform grinding work if necessary. You also ensure that wearing parts are replaced in time and that the working environment is kept tidy and efficient.
Operations:
- Assemble, test and adjust stamping tools according to mechanical engineering drawings.
- Perform revisions after a set number of stampings produced.
- Replace and adjust wear parts (such as cutting nipples) to prevent burr formation and properly dispose of waste.
- Perform accurate grinding work and proactively solve technical problems.
- Thinking about improvements in the revision and production process.
Profile:
- Technical understanding, with willingness to learn to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings.
- Experience in metalworking is a plus but not required; starters are also welcome.
- Proactive, inquisitive and accurate working attitude.
- Good command of Dutch is a plus; German is also possible. It is important to ask for clarification when you do not understand something.
Employment conditions:
- Day shift with flexible start time between 07:00 and 08:00.
- A full working day lasts 8 hours, so your day ends at 15:30 or 16:30 depending on your start time.
- Hourly wage between €16 and €17 (depending on knowledge and experience).
- Working at a metalworking company with good development and advancement opportunities.
